...Or maybe you want to learn yourself! Regardless, my philosophy is that ANYONE can learn to play the violin with practice and proper guidance. I have taught students from ages 5 to 70, and I especially love working with beginners - there's so much to discover! In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have switched to virtual lessons for my current students, and I am available to take on new students this way until it is safe to meet in person again.

My teaching method emphasizes learning Music Theory and Ear Training simultaneously to help students gain a well-rounded understanding of their instrument. This means that, while we are working on skills such as note-reading, we will also engage in "call-and-response" exercises to help students learn musical phrases "by ear". I also place a heavy emphasis on technique to cultivate a full tone and prevent bad habits and possible injuries in the future.
